The Bassmaster Wild Card. A tournament in which 37 anglers compete for the last ten spots for the 2008 Bassmaster Elite Series. It really has not sunk in yet that I am going to Lake Okeechobee to fish this event. This one event could change my life and my families forever. I told my wife that no matter the outcome, I have had a great year. I am however going to use a different strategy than the one I used at Lake Wheeler for the last Southern Open. At Wheeler I tried to catch just enough fish to try and make the cut. I did not hunt for big fish. I played it safe and it cost me in the end. My goal for this event is to absolutely go for it. I have got everything to gain and nothing to lose. The plan is simple. Find the mother load of fish and wear them out for three days. This is a tournament that I have to give it my all and never look back. I do know that if it is meant to be that I make it, then so be it, but I am going to try my hardest that it does happen. Saying all this, I do hope I make it. I hope I make it for all of my friends and family who have been behind me for so long. By December 1st - the final decision will be made
